The 2012 NFL season provided key information for teams all across the league. Andy Reid wasn't the fit in Philly, Colin Kaepernick is a Super Bowl QB, and Seattle has found their new franchise quarterback.
It was a tough year for many, and those teams will look to the 2013 NFL draft to revamp their team and make them a competitor for next season. Mock Drafts can be very shaky at this time in January, especially this year. The Quarterback class is the weakest it has been in years, and the teams needing them just don't seem to be in the right places.
These guys are going to be taken, it's just a matter of when. Today, we are going to look at my top 3 quarterbacks and why they should be taken in the first round.
With the 4th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Eagles select Tyler Wilson QB: Arkansas.
You might not see many mock drafts, if any, with this selection. The Eagles desperately need a new start and a fresh look. Chip Kelly might attract some "mock drafters" to a mobile QB like Geno Smith, but Wilson is the best fit here. A quarterback's best friend is a running game, and with LeSean McCoy, he'll have it. This should be a perfect fit!
With the 7th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Cardinals select EJ Manuel QB: Florida State.
Manuel might not be ahead of many right now, but he has the ability to surge and be the perfect choice in Arizona. The Cardinals haven't had mobile guys like Manuel for a while, and like the Eagles, they need a full change. Unlike Kevin Kolb, Manuel can actually throw the ball to Larry Fitzgerald. He has a very good vision for the game, and I can see him letting Arizona compete in the tough NFC West. (If RB Eddie Lacy falls to their 2nd round pick, this team could add him and be a force to be reckoned with.)
With the 8th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Bills select Ryan Nassib QB: Syracuse.
Nassib is counted out by most people in the first round simply because of the team he was on. Syracuse isn't exactly the school that rains QB's, but Nassib is a huge talent. He had a fantastic year, with his best performance coming against South Florida. (328 yds 4 TD's -0 INT's). Nassib has shown interest in going to the Bills, just happening to be the place where his old coach Doug Marrone is. If Nassib falls, expect Buffalo to grab him.
I like it Joe. Bold predictions but possible I suppose. I like your thought process especially with the Bills situation.
ReplyDeleteI think its possible as well. Some interesting thoughts. All dependent on FA/trades though. I would have to assume that the Cards and Eagles would be interested in the services of Alex Smith and possibly even Matt Flynn. I wanna what happens to those two first then draft will be a little clearer.
ReplyDeleteThis is often a primary element in determining a fantastic cosigner http://Pxl.co/ you can borrow loans

you need, once you might have paid the prior loan, plus interest.
