In a world filled with technology and media, football fans around the country are always looking for in-depth ways to watch the game. So much has evolved over the years, that fans like you and me are constantly anticipating newer and better technology. Something new has evolved, and it is called The Keepr.The Keepr is a superior collectible that features the NFL's all-time greatest players. A Keepr card features a USB plug-in that includes the selected players' career stats, photos, and 45 minutes of NFL Films video clips that capture the player's best moments.
The 10 players available right now are: Mike Ditka, Sonny Jergenson, Franco Harris, Howie Long, Phil Simms, Joe Montana, Walter Peyton, Johnny Unitas, Roger Staubach, and Deion Sanders.
Thanks to former Baltimore Colt RB Tom Matte, I got the great opportunity to review a Keepr Media Card. Being a Baltimore fan, I picked Johnny Unitas.
When I received my Keepr card, I was surprised to see how neatly and organized the opening process was. It came in an envelope and inside of that was a smaller display. Inside the display was the Johnny Unitas Keepr card and the instructions on how the Keepr works. After reading, I plugged the Keepr into the USB port by pushing out the USB plug-in on the card.
Once the Keepr loaded on my computer, I was taken back to the 50's. Appearing on my laptop was a screen that gave me several options. I could either look at Johnny Unitas' full career statistics, see the best photos of his career, and of course, watch over 45 minutes of his career highlights.
Statistics: When I clicked on the "stats" link, I was taken to a menu that gave me every possible stat of Johnny U's career. From passing yards, to passer rating, and even his postseason stats, this tab was a great tool.
Photographs: This tab takes you to Unitas' best moments captured by pictures. I was expecting just a few pictures, but to my surprise, there were many more. You would expect the picture quality to be rough, considering they were taken decades ago; but Keepr nailed this one. They provide pictures that are of great quality and size.
Video Highlights: To be honest, I wasn't quite sure how good the highlights were going to be. I figured they would be old and rough. I was wrong. Since I was never able to see Johnny U LIVE, Keepr Media allowed me to feel like I was there through every moment. From his Super Bowl victory to a great Hall of Fame Speech, my Keepr card was great.
Through my experience reviewing the Keepr card, I was greatly pleased. For someone like myself, I was never able to see players like Unitas play. After using the Keepr Media card, I felt like I knew everything possible about Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts.
