NFL 2013 Playoff & Super Bowl Predictions

The pattern emerging over the past few seasons is that whoever gets hot come playoff  time will win the Super Bowl.  I remember that trend starting when the 6th seeded Pittsburgh Steelers stole a divisional round game in Indianapolis where the Colts held the #1 seed.  It was an amazing game that came down to a Jerome Bettis fumble at the goal line, picked up and returned by Nick Harper only to get tackled by a falling Ben Roethlisberger in what turned out to be the game saving tackle.  Indy had one last shot but their "idiot kicker" as Peyton Manning called him shortly after, missed a 48 yard field goal by a mile giving the Steelers the win and ultimately a Super Bowl Championship.

Since then we've seen wild card teams and others who have had to play in every round of the playoffs make it to the big game and win it all.  Being a number 1 or 2 seed no longer guarantees that you'll be playing for the Lombardi Trophy.  The New York Giants pulled off miracle runs in 2007 and 2010 by barely making the playoffs.  The Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens are also two recent examples of wild card teams taking home the title.

So will we see another hot team make a miracle run through the playoffs like the Chargers or Eagles.  Or will the top seeds prevail and see Peyton and Brady fighting it out again for the right to go to the championship while the Seahawks have the top seed in the NFC and are close to unbeatable at home!?  As we all know anything can happen in the NFL on any given day so your guess is as good as mine.  So here is my guess or should I say prediction for the 2013 NFL playoffs.
