Indiana Pacers: Will moving Hibbert get them Pau Gasol?

According to the Sporting News’ Sean Deveney, the Indiana Pacers are reportedly quietly shopping two time All-Star, Roy Hibbert. Hibbert averaged 10.8 PPG, 6.6 RPG, and 2.2 BPG last season.

In regards to Hibbert’s stats, they certainly display some regression from the 2012-2013 season. During that season, Hibbert averaged 11.9 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 2.6 BPG. To add insult to injury, he had a horrid showing in the NBA Playoffs this season, averaging 9.3 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 1.4 BPG. But more importantly, he really didn’t show up in the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals, in which the Indiana Pacers lost to the Miami Heat in six games. During this series, Hibbert averaged a measly 10.8 PPG, 7.5 RPG, shooting 41.5% from the field. With the Pacers succumbing to the Heat once again in this year’s playoffs, it seems as though they are rightly looking for better production at the center position.
